- Laura cannot live with a gorilla because she was raised by humans.

Apes are the most intelligent animals and are therefore susceptible to mental illness.
Environmental enrichment is a measure to reduce mental and physical stress and lead a happy life from the standpoint of apes, not from the convenience and emotions of human beings.

Aw....poor Laura. Gorilla's are very social, so having to live alone is quite the sad one. I wonder if keepers can go inside the enclosure by her. Sweet Laura!

They're not allowed to unfortunately but once upon a time they were.
Why do laural the female gorilla have to live n be alone just because she lived with humans could being all alone do more damage to her ,is she able to at least see or hear other gorillas what you posted at the beginning was like a damn flash card were could the information be found on them other than I comments where was she born how old is she do she have any kids is she crazy what .yet the zoo have all this space to house just her alone n for how much more longer .d jeeco was alone for a while as well he don't really know how to be a Silverback he was given 2 wives knows nothing about control or leadership n keeping peace n maintaining it .

世界の動物園をみると、シルバーバック同士を同居させたり、
カワウソやおサルや小動物との同居があったり、いろいろ試行錯誤してますけど・・・
簡単か難しいか以前に深く考えていないように感じます。感じるだけです。😅
試行錯誤、という苦労をしたくないんでしょうか？若い人にやる気があっても、上司が事勿れ主義だと難しそう。責任はだれが取るんだ！と、怒られて、良いことなのに試せない日本の社会の悪いとこですよね。私もいっつも言われてた。いらんことするな！余計なこと考えずに、言われたことだけやっとけって。これって、動物園だけじゃない、日本のあらゆるとこである問題ですよね。
@@中田圭子-j5s おっしゃる通り、動物園独自の問題もないとは言わないですが、ほとんどは事なかれ主義、出る杭は打たれる、労働環境問題などがおおもとですね。
デジタル庁のトップが７０代ってありえない。多くの優秀な若者が辞めていったようですね。本人もやめましたが・・・ギャグですか？
@@GreatApesZoo 「何でも良いと思ったことはやれ。責任は全部わたしが取る」と言われたことがありません。ギャグなんでしょうね。この意識改革だけで、あらゆる事がもっと良くなると思いますが。。お金儲けは出来ないから、無理なんでしょうね。

ＬA zoo 、グレースさんのビデオ
を観て、アンジェラとオールド イブリンの微笑ましい関係が感動してます。イブリンも他のゴリラと交わる事を避けて、仲間から距離を置いている状態でしたが(彼女も確か人間が保育？でも自分の子を1人もうけている)
アンジェラの無邪気なアプローチのおかげで、若い時の心を取り戻し
快活さが少し出ているのがビデオで
かいま見えます。
アンジェラを、普通のメスゴリラのように優しく相手してあげているのを観て感動しました。
ローラにもアンジェラのような小さいゴリラは無理でも小動物を与えるという案は如何でしょう？
彼女の生活が生き生きして長生きにつながるかも🤔🙏💜
海外では、ゴリラと異種動物の同居をよく見ますね。
日本でも福岡ではオランウータンとテナガザルの同居ありますが、ゴリラはやらないそうですね。残念です。
モンタさんの白いもみあげはいつ見てもカッコイイ。お嫁さん来てほしいです。
体つきも立派で健康そうなのに、誰か来てもらいたいですね。
類人猿及び人類学の研究が進んでいると聞きます。このふたりの失われた時を取り戻す方法はないものでしょうか？欧米の動物福祉を実践している動物園に学ぶことはできないのでしょうか？
欧米の動物福祉においつけと努力している動物園は僅かでしょうね。先日、やっとイルカショーをやめようというレベルですから。
So Monta is possibly a younger brother of Momoko........that should end any discussion about Komomo mating with him.
But after what I've been hearing lately about the behavior of zoos nothing they do would surprise me.

@@eaglesflyproud Yes apparently in the UK and maybe Europe too they've started the cute little practice of castrating the young male gorillas if they aren't in the breeding program. I only know this from a few posts I've read I haven't seen it in any news reports. If it's true it's it's sickening behavior, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
@@deadsmoke198 okay I wasn’t sure what you were referring to. I learned several weeks ago that Shufai (Twycross Zoo) and Ajabu (Prague Zoo) were two of the victims of this barbaric abuse. I’m sure there’re more I’m not aware of. Thanks for sharing.
@@eaglesflyproud Okay Eagle I guess it's real, just when you think the zoos might be sort of alright they come out with some new atrocity. Poor Shufai.
@@deadsmoke198 second time I’m replying back to you guess RUclips doesn’t allow the name of the organization I referenced (begins with the word change) so my comment was deleted. Thank God Lope was spared. Many years I signed a petition titled “stop castrating gorillas” and I was told awhile back that this heinous crime was “temporarily stopped” by the EEP as a result of the outrage it generated.
